Review: Lost Planet 3

Added: 27.08.2013 9:10 | 1 views | 0 comments

An enjoyable, but very different, reboot of Capcom's icy alien shooter.
Capcom has been farming its most beloved franchises out to Western developers for a while now. Some have been a disaster, like Bionic Commando, and others have been more successful, namely Team Ninja's Devil May Cry reboot. Lost Planet 3, mercifully, falls into the latter category. It's a confident reimagining of the Lost Planet series that stays true to some elements, and completely abandons others. Long-time fans may find the changes too severe, however.

Ginx- The Wonderful 101 Review

Added: 19.08.2013 16:18 | 10 views | 0 comments

Ginx:There is only one word for Hideki Kamiyas career: impressive. He has achieved greatness time and time again. Resident Evil 2. Devil May Cry. Viewtiful Joe. Okami. Bayonetta. A list of credits like these would be enough to cement any mans place in history but its not enough for him. As one of the founding members of Platinum Games, he continues to show all of us a vision of action, spectacle and fun unparalleled by any other studio in the world. Hes also clearly obsessed with the new. Throughout his career its easy to see, hes not a man who does things twice never returning to direct any of the follow ups to the franchises he started. Instead; he completes a game, he goes away and a few years later he returns again with something totally unique. Its been 4 years since we played a Kamiya game, so that means its about time we had a new one. Ready? We sure are. This is The Wonderful 101.

Dusty Revenge Review | Gaming Furever

Added: 08.08.2013 18:19 | 8 views | 0 comments

If Dust: An Elysian Tail taught us anything it's that game makers come from all walks of life. Dean Dodrill who was a humble artist struck out to make a game of his own and it turned out to be really awesome. PD Design Studio a small company based in Singapore that for the most part has done flash animation over the years has decided to throw it's hat into the indie game ring. Their debut game Dusty Revenge is a 2D platforming beat'em up with some obvious influences from recent action games such as Devil May Cry or God of War. Is Dusty Revenge sweet or is it just a dish served cold?

Is Capcom Worse Than EA Activision ?

Added: 03.08.2013 19:19 | 4 views | 0 comments

NOTE : Capcom ruined Resident Evil,Megaman,Devil May Cry and now Breath Of Fire franchise When this current generation began, the idea of downloadable content excited gamers as this would lead to extending a game's life. The possibility of expansion packs, map packs, extra characters, etc would give a lot of replay value to a game. But most people wouldn't think it would've gotten this bad. Microsoft starts charging for map packs on Halo rather than give free content. Then it comes to the realization that most DLC is already included on the disc, and you're paying extra money for a portion of the game you should already have on the disc. Then companies like Activision who produced Guitar Hero in the end, instead of releasing DLC would release entire games yearly for $60. Games like this, Tony Hawk and Call of Duty lacked innovation from title to title but they still commanded a $60 price. This left a bad taste in consumer's mouth.

Before, during, and after DmC Devil May Cry from Ninja Theory launched a reboot of the series with an overhauled Dante there was a lot of hate coming from the gaming community. Despite good critical reception, DmC failed to be a big blockbuster for Capcom, though they did report it had solid sales. - PSLS

Review: Teleglitch: Die More Edition (DarkZero)

Added: 29.07.2013 20:16 | 10 views | 0 comments

"Ive always thought that Im pretty good at video games. Ive always been one to beat my friends and Ive certainly put in the time, playing almost every day since I was big enough to pick up a controller. Ive beaten several Ninja Gaiden games, multiple Contras (including the original), Ghosts N Goblins (double run), I finished Devil May Cry 3 on Hard (even when the difficulty was pumped up from the Japanese version) and Ive completed Demons Souls and more, all of which are famously difficult titles. That has all changed. Teleglitch: Die More Edition has constantly and consistently kicked my ass from the second I started playing. Rogue games are known to be hard, but I can only just get past over the first half of the game without being overrun by a horde of enemies or being taken out by a couple of sharpshooting, trigger happy guards. Id like to think that Ive adapted, learnt from my mistakes, and am improving as a player, which is how video games usually work - but I dont...
